Growing technical demands make the selection and use of appropriate Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs) critically important in the heat dissipation process.
To effectively transfer heat, a good thermal contact is needed between two components. TIMs are materials sandwiched between the two, often uneven, surfaces to improve the thermal coupling between them. Designed to fill in air gaps and microscopic irregularities, TIMs significantly lower thermal resistance and cool better.
Many flexible thermal management materials are designed to simplify assembly. Unlike other types of heat dissipation techniques, they can be used without grease. Some are able to be used permanently without drying out, providing long-lasting heat conduction, saving time and money.
